EduLead offers a continuum of professional development opportunities, leadership training, and support to school divisions throughout the Richmond region. EduLead creates impact and evaluative studies of our programs to increase student achievement through teacher quality and the preparation of school leaders.

EduLead was created as a partnership between the University of Richmond's Center for Leadership in Education and Virginia Commonwealth University's Educational Leadership Department, the school divisions of the City of Richmond and the Counties of Henrico, Chesterfield, and Hanover, and several corporate and foundation partners from the Richmond area. It capitalizes on the resources of all its partners by providing training to help school leaders hone their leadership abilities, share their visions, and mentor other leaders in the field.

Research shows that leadership is second only to teaching among the school-related factors impacting student learning. Leadership can further impact those schools that have at-risk students. EduLead hopes to work at alleviating the challenges facing our local schools, while improving student performance and educational quality.
