EduLead offers a continuum of professional development opportunities, leadership training, and support to school divisions throughout the Richmond region. EduLead creates impact and evaluative studies of our programs to increase student achievement through teacher quality and the preparation of school leaders.

The EduLead Advisory Board is drawn from professionals in secondary and post-secondary educational settings and from the private sector.

EduLead represents a unique partnership between Virginia Commonwealth University’s Center for School Improvement, led by Dr. Jo Lynne DeMary, and the University of Richmond’s Center for Leadership in Education, led by Dr. Tom Shields, in collaboration with four Central Virginia school divisions.

The Center for Leadership in Education is a collaboration between the University of Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies and the School of Continuing Studies. The Center for Leadership in Education infuses leadership studies across the K-12 curriculum.

The Center for School Improvement is part of Virginia Commonwealth University's Commonwealth Educational Policy Institute. The Center partners with local, state, and national education officials to improve leadership, instruction, and student achievement through research and best practices.
