EduLead offers a continuum of professional development opportunities, leadership training, and support to school divisions throughout the Richmond region. EduLead creates impact and evaluative studies of our programs to increase student achievement through teacher quality and the preparation of school leaders.

The EduLead Advisory Board is drawn from professionals in secondary and post-secondary educational settings and from the private sector.

EduLead represents a unique partnership among Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Richmond and four Central Virginia school divisions.

The Center for Leadership in Education is a collaboration between the University of Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies and the School of Continuing Studies. The Center for Leadership in Education infuses leadership studies across the K-12 curriculum.

The Center for School Improvement is housed under the Department of Educational Leadership.

The VCU School of Education's Center for School Improvement works with school, district, state, and national leaders to build organizational instructional capacity to increase student achievement and school accountability based on rigorous research and best practices.

The mission of the Department of Educational Leadership in the VCU School of Education is to “prepare critically reflective educators who are instructional leaders; to create and share knowledge that leads to improved practice and policy; and to connect with the field to support and nourish social justice, learning, and accountability.”
